RESUME
JERROLD A. WOHLFARTH
Jerry
and his lady Norma have been married for 45 years. They have two
grown daughters, and four grand children. Both daughters and their
Grand Daughter were active in the Order of Rainbow for Girls.
He was born on September 5, 1942 in Washington, D. C. Jerry enlisted
in the United States Marine Corps in 1959. His career in the Marines
took him to numerous places throughout the United States, and overseas,
including two tours in Vietnam. Following his retirement from the
Marines in 1979 as a Captain, he and Norma decided to stay in Vista,
CA. He pursued a second career, retiring from Science Applications
International Corporation (SAIC) as a Program Manager in 1997.
Jerry earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from
Chaminade University in Honolulu, and his Master of Business Administration
in Information Systems from National University in San Diego.
He was raised to the degree of Master Mason in 1975 in Pearl Harbor
Lodge in Honolulu, when Hawaiian Lodges were under the jurisdiction
of the Grand Lodge of California. He later affiliated with Vista
Lodge No 687, in Vista, CA, and served as Worshipful Master in 1986
and 1997. He is also a Life Member of his family lodge, Hiram Lodge
No. 10 in Washington, D. C.
He has served the Grand Lodge of California continuously for over
20 years on numerous Grand Lodge Committees, and as a Trustee on
the California Masonic Foundation. He served as Junior Grand Deacon
under Most Worshipful Charles H. Alexander in 1995 - 1996, and has
served as a Masonic District Inspector for over 6 years.
He is a past presiding officer of his Royal Arch Chapter; Cryptic
Council; Allied Masonic Degrees Council; National Sojourners Chapter,
and Heroes of ‘76; and Past Patron of his Eastern Star Chapter
in 1992 & 1996; as well as being a past presiding officer of
several other appendant Masonic bodies.
He is currently serving as Senior Warden of the Lodge of Perfection
for San Diego Scottish Rite, Generalissimo of the San Diego Commandery
Knights Templar, and Preceptor in the San Diego York Rite College.
He is also a member of the Al Bahr Shrine in San Diego, the Royal
Order of Scotland, Knight Masons, the San Diego Conclave Knights
of the Red Cross of Constantine, and several other appendant Masonic
bodies.
Jerry was invested with the honor of Knight Commander of the Court
Honour in Scottish Rite. He has been presented the Hiram Award by
Vista Lodge; the Grand Chapter Service Award from the Order of the
Eastern Star; the Order of the Grand Cross of Color by the International
Order of the Rainbow for Girls; and the Vista Lodge Master’s
Award in 1988 & 1998.
