Robert G. Grauer, KYGCH
Illustrious Grand Master's Message
2006/2007

We, the current generation of Freemasons, have been charged with the care and maintenance of this great organization of numerous Rites and Bodies. As we advance individually in our Masonic careers, we can become so involved in an ancillary Body that we can forget the foundation of that Body is the Masonic Lodge.

As Cryptic Masons, we are further supported by Royal Arch. We think of this when we are encouraged to get new members for our Council. But we forget that this foundational source is constantly crumbling away by the passing of our older members.

We must remember as metaphorical builders that a structure once built must be maintained. We York Rite Masons must be actively involved the maintenance of our foundation, the Lodge. If we are successful in this, our great York Rite will strengthen and grow and we will leave the next generation a strong Masonic Fraternity.
