Katrina Relief & YR Booth At Grand Lodge Companions, There is something new in my mind these days, Katrina has somewhat sent a new insight to my mind and heart, I am here today not only as a Grand Officer on an Official Visit, but also as a beggar for those affected by that terrible natural disaster. The Most Excellent Grand High Priest William Wine, Right Eminent Grand Commander Milton Abbott, and myself have agreed to request from our members to send donations on an individual basis to the Grand York Rite Office, please write on the left, lower side of your checks, KATRINA RELIEF FUND ,those donations will be sent to the York Rite Bodies of New Orleans and Mississippi. The address for the Grand York Rite Office is: 801 Elm Ave. Long Beach, Ca. 90813-4414 I had a conversation with the Most Excellent Grand High Priest “Bill ”Wine” and Right Eminent Grand Commander Milton Abbott regarding the Grand Council York Rite Bodies booth that we set up at Grand Lodge every year, in the name of Masonic Unity, we can share space with the Grand Chapter, and Grand Commandery, we can also share responsibility for storage and set up of that booth, every year, each York Rite Body having a permanent presence, during the time of Grand Lodge Communication; it would be ideal to have someone living in the Bay Area who can spare a 2X2 sq.’ of space, so it does not have to be taken from one end of the State to the other.
